Amaia : Which oxymoron do you like better : “original copy” or “unanimous disagreement” ?
Maria : They have nothing to do with each other.
Amaia : Yes, but they are great, aren’t they ?
Cuqui : Hey…shouldn’t we start to write the text for the program ?
Cris : Yes, let’s start. It’s super late.
Cuqui : So… Sabine needs a 10 line text in which it should be very clear for the audience what the project is about.
María : Ok, from where do we start ?
(They think for a while)
Amaia : We should talk about the idea of collaboration and about the exchange of roles, specially the role of directing during the creation process, don’t you think ?
Cuqui : Yes, and we should also explain that The Neverstarting Story consists of four different pieces directed by each of us and that we are interested in presenting them together because we want the project to be understood as one thing.
Amaia : Yes, because that’s how we’ve created the pieces, all together, at the same time and from shared material.
Cris : Do we specify the order of the pieces or not ?
(They think but they don’t take a decision)
Amaia : And most of all we should inform the audience that it’s going to be a long evening, if it starts at 7pm it will end up around… midnight !
Cris : We should also talk a bit about each piece, and say that one of them is a film, don’t you think ?
María : Yes but then forget about the 10 lines…
Cris : Right…
(Cuqui and Amaia write on their computers, Maria and Cris stay thinking)
Cuqui : What do you think of this : “In this project we looked for a way of working together taking four different directions within the project. In general lines “The Neverstarting Story” focuses on the creation of multiple levels of fiction and the search for new codes through the alteration of the use of the objects and the space, to project a new reality in the spectator’s mind”
María : Maybe it’s a bit boring…
Cuqui : Yes, maybe. I don’t know… (Silence)
María : Ah ! I have an idea ! We could write the text as a dialogue !
Cris : That would be great !
